Ola people! Hope you all enjoy the home of Electric Images, we are always looking forward to meeting new people and especially seeing our faithful clientele.
Electric Images has been my home for eight wonderful years (1998) and I look forward to sooo many more. I started here as an apprentice and learned all I know from Brian who eventually became a very close friend and eventually my "hunny bear". Prior to my current lifestyle, some may say I was a "country bumpkin" born and raised in New London, not that New London is country-hell I don't know What New London is? I've enjoyed art of all forms all my life. I searched many avenues trying to find my groove, always ending up feeling something was missing or there was not enough money involved to support a family. Those of you who are artists yourselves know what they mean when they talk about "starving artists". My passion has always been painting. Getting into a painting would always "take me away" sort of speak, when ever I needed a pick me up I'd go on an adventure in my work. Painting is how I got here, I sold some of my paintings to the local taverns now and again and in doing so, I was approached one day with someone asking me if I had ever thought about becoming a "tattoo artist"...my reaction; Me???? A "tattoo artist" nah!!! Little ol farm girl type? I didn't think it would fit. Anyway a couple of months later curiosity got the best of this kitty-cat and decided to check on schooling on line. The only school I had found at the time was not feasible for me, with a family at home I couldn't move away for two years and the school I thought was pretty expensive and didn't see it in my stars. So I left it alone. Well one day I was looking online for my next tattoo and had come across Electric Images Inc. clickin' around thru their site I had seen they had apprenticeship programs, so Hell yeah! I sent them a friggin' email. Brian wrote me back and told me to come check out the shop and hang out a bit to see what I thought of the place. His main concern was not to bring someone in that would cause havoc in his life or his shop. (guess I didn't cause too much huh? hehe) Sooo low and behold I'm here and now I'm his right hand man??? Partner in crime? his first mate...(well not his first I guess) Alright, I'm just the wife.
So here I am a "Tattoo Artist". Why not? Women can do anything a man can do if they put their mind to it. Been here doin' it for eight years now and I couldn't think of anything else I'd rather do. I look forward to learning something new everyday. It's funny to be out and about and to realize how many people I have marked. To see my handwriting, or to realize that hey! I did that butterfly. I have touched thousands of people, not only physically, but also emotionally and they have me as well, I've gained many friendships along the way and hope to gain many more. All of the days of my life since I have started here has been a painting in the works, eventually some day my masterpiece will be completed, you will have had a part in the design, and for that I give you many thanks. Each day, even if it may have been one I wish to forget, has all been important. My life has been blessed in many ways, whether you who is the reader might be family, an old friend, someone I may have taught or potentially a new friend. You all have been an inspiration to me. I have no regrets in my life, I would do everyday of my life all over again if I had to. I have many thanks to all who have supported me, I love you all!! Much love!
So enough about me let's talk about you and your new tattoo!!! I look forward to seeing you....
